EHS Organization
Our EHS Policy and EHS Management System recognize the responsibility of every employee for Anheuser-Busch’s EHS performance. Strategic oversight of companywide EHS-related issues is the specific responsibility of these management groups:
The Anheuser-Busch Strategy Committee
- Reports directly to the Anheuser-Busch Companies board of directors
- Responsible for decisions on all major business matters
- Composed of the company’s most senior managers
The EHS Policy Committee
- Responsible for monitoring, evaluating and directing improvements in EHS policies and practices
- Reports directly to the board of directors’ Audit Committee in fulfilling its EHS oversight responsibilities
- Seven of the nine members of the EHS Policy Committee are also Strategy Committee members
EHS Policy Committee Charter
The EHS Council
- Responsible for reviewing and improving EHS practices through internal and external benchmarking and refinement of requirements across subsidiaries
- Develops strategies for addressing emerging EHS issues
- Comprised of senior EHS managers from each subsidiary and key supporting staff groups
- Reports directly to the EHS Policy Committee
The Water Council
- Focuses on the strategic management of water-related issues, specifically water supply and quality
- Develops partnerships with key stakeholders to promote initiatives and pursue research that is beneficial to our company and communities
- Subsidiary-level teams execute the Water Council’s strategy at the operations level and set targets for their respective subsidiary, implement programs for achieving those targets and align each subsidiary’s policies with the overall corporate water objectives
- Composed of representatives with expertise in water policy from each subsidiary and key supporting staff groups
- Reports directly to the EHS Policy Committee
The Energy Council
- Focuses on research, emerging trends and issues, internal benchmarking, external funding and opportunities, and strategic internal and external partnerships
- Encourages and leverages energy stewardship and employee awareness throughout operations
- Serves as a key resource in helping the brewery teams work toward reducing utility use and costs
Corporate and Facility EHS Organizations
- Environmental Affairs and Corporate Safety and Risk Management departments support companywide performance programs
- Programs are administered through subsidiary and facility EHS professionals
