Awards and Recognition

Anheuser-Busch was again named the No. 1 Beverage Company in the United States in FORTUNE magazine’s “ America’s Most Admired Companies” ranking for 2007. The company ranked first in the industry for each of the eight categories FORTUNE considered, including social responsibility. Each year, FORTUNE surveys 10,000 executives, board members and financial analysts and asks them to evaluate the largest companies in their industries according to eight criteria: quality of products and services, employee talent, quality of management, innovation, social responsibility, financial soundness, long-term investment and use of corporate assets.

In 2006, the Houston Brewery in Houston, Texas, was selected to receive a Proud Partner Award from the Keep Houston Beautiful Committee for achieving a recycling rate of 99.9 percent. Over the past 30 years, Keep Houston Beautiful has been harnessing the energy of the people to help Houstonians change and improve their communities. The Mayor's Proud Partner Awards single out some of the great accomplishments that have made a positive impact on Houston's environment.

Virginia Busch, President of SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund, was honored in 2006 with the Wildlife Trust Conservation Award. This recognition is the highest honor given by Wildlife Trust, an international conservation organization that pioneered the innovative field of conservation medicine and works to understand links between ecosystems, wildlife and human health.
